Welcome to OUR website!
"This is where our journey begins. My scars are a testament to the battles I have faced, and this website is proof that I did not make it through by my own strength. I have endured abuse and rejection, yet the Lord has remained faithful. He is not a man that He should lie. There is hope in King Jesus."
Grace to Sleep in the Storm
A Sermon to Usher You Into the Peace of God
It is not a mistake that you have landed on this sermon among the others published on this website.
I welcome you into a new dimension of grace and wisdom—one that may be unfamiliar to you.
My Father says in His Word:
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard…” (1 Corinthians 2:9)
Yes, there is a different dimension of the Word of God that you've yet to encounter—because of the season and time we are living in.
Opening Prayer
Pause. Close your eyes and pray this prayer with all your heart:
Father, by the power by which You are known to be God, let the grace of understanding fall on me right now. Give me the grace to hear from You… Amen.
Repeat this prayer until you feel ready to hear the Lord speak to you through this teaching.
Scripture Guide: Matthew 8:23–28
Verse 24:
“And behold, SUDDENLY, there arose a VIOLENT STORM on the sea, so that the boat was being COVERED UP by the waves. BUT HE WAS SLEEPING.”
Storms in life are often sudden. One moment you're celebrating, and the next, you're overwhelmed.
Even Jesus—while on earth—faced many suddenlies. But because He was the Son of God, He carried a special ingredient within Him:
PEACE.
It was because of this peace that He could sleep through a storm.
Peace = Good Sleep
Jesus was having deep rest while chaos raged around Him.
How?
Could He not hear the disciples shouting? Could He not feel the boat shaking violently or the sound of the storm?
Yet He slept—until He was awakened.
The Peace of God
“And God’s peace shall be yours…”
— Philippians 4:7 (AMP)
The peace mentioned here is not ordinary peace. It is God's own peace—and by grace, you can access and apply it.
This is the peace Jesus used to overcome trials on earth. And you need this peace to stand in the face of adversity.
This peace is different from peace that comes from money, security, or favorable situations. This is divine. It is a grace.
Prayer for Peace
Pause.
Pray this:
Father, I thought I knew what peace was. I thought I had it. But Lord, help me understand this grace called peace. By Your mercy, deliver it into my spirit. Amen.
Fear and the Storm
Jesus was awakened by His disciples’ fear.
“Lord, rescue and preserve us! We are perishing!”
Fear sees death, destruction, and hopelessness—even when none of these are true. Fear creates false conclusions and overwhelms your spirit.
“Do not fret or have anxiety about anything…”
— Philippians 4:6
Fear blocks faith, and Jesus rebuked the disciples for their fear. He knew that peace must precede power.
No Goliath will bow to a heart full of fear.
Fasting without peace is just a hunger strike.
Another Prayer
Pause and Pray:
Lord, let Your very own peace come into my spirit and overcome every trace of fear within me. Give me the grace to receive from You through this peace. Amen.
Peace as Jesus Gave It
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid.”
— John 14:27
When Jesus ascended into heaven, He left His own peace behind—for you and for me. He no longer needed it, but we do.
This grace of peace that Jesus used to overcome betrayal, pain, and demonic forces is now available to you.
With it, you too can calm the storms in your life.
Final Prayer (for Meditation & Fasting)
Pray this daily. Fast if you can, for 3 or more days, and seek this peace from God.
Father, forgive me for using my own strength to fight battles. Forgive me for thinking I am wiser than I truly am. I acknowledge that fear has made me anxious and upset. Today, I turn to You, Holy Spirit—my Helper and my Teacher.
By Your mercy, release Your own peace upon my life. The same peace Jesus used to overcome betrayal, pain, and even death—that is the peace I ask for now.
The peace that calms storms. Let it come upon me.
Take time to mention your storms by name.
Ask the Lord to send peace over each one—and ask for the grace to sleep amid the storm, just like Jesus did.
Closing Word
May His mercy envelop you, and may you receive the grace to sleep amid storms—because:
“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
— John 16:33
